Mark winner as “redeemed”

New feature release

It’s an exciting day for our users as we add a new capabilitity to the macrotickes platform effective as of this morning. We’re always working to make it easier for our customers to create activations and grow their business and this new feature is proof of our continued effort to innovate for our customers.

New in the platform as of morning:

The functionality of marking “winners”–or people who have participated in your activation and won the pre-selected prize/incentive–can now be marked as “redeemed” in the tool This allows activations to be managed centrally by different user profiles across different locations without the risk of trying to capture offline.

Why is this important?

The new feature does two important things for macrotickets users:

  1. It allows them to manage activations where most of the participants in said activation are “winners”. These types of activations with higher win rates are generally structured to offer smaller scan-incentives and are oriented towards driving customer & prospect data capture at scale. These types of activations are the inverse of lower win-rate activations where fewer scanners win larger incentives with the intention of driving sales.

  2. This change also allows prizes to be redeemed over time instead of immediately. This is important for activations that happen off-site for users who set up a booth at a tradeshow or a festival.

These users can now build activations at third-party events and drive consumers back to their physical location or website for transactions at a later date. Allowing scans after purchasing is a valuable use-case and allows users to build events with longer timelines that can be redeemed at more than one location in person without worrying about consumers gaming the system.

That’s it! A small update that helps our customers continue building and growing their business through QR code technology, and a reminder that we are constantly innovating ot serve our customers!

Be prepared for many more blog posts and feature updates in 2023 and since we’re still small and nimble we can accept feedback from customers and prospects about our product roadmap (how often does that happen?!).
